—What types of products do you make?

We are a manufacturer of soft goods (textiles). In addition, we are experienced in leatherwork. Here are some things we’ve done in the past: bedding, bandanas, jackets, hats, mittens, gun cases, wallets, leather coasters, seat covers, key fobs, weekender bags, tote bags, garment bags, flags/banners, sunglass cases, tool rolls, pillow cases, sleeping bags, pet leashes and collars, etc. Product categories include: men’s accessories, home goods, outdoor gear, hunting gear, pet accessories, travel goods, hotel/restaurant accessories, etc.

—What are your payment terms?

For first time customers, we require half down to start the project with the remainder due at completion. For repeat customers, we offer 30 day terms.

—What are your lead times?

Please allow anywhere form 8-12 weeks for production. For sampling and product development, timing is dependent on the project at hand, but this will be easily determined once we understand the scope.

—What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

This really depends on the project. A complex weekender bag has much different requirements than a leather coaster, for example. Therefore, they have different MOQs. This will be one of the first topics of discussion when you first reach out. In most cases we are very willing to discuss low MOQ projects (50 or less).

—Do I have to be located in Minnesota to work with you?

No. In fact, the majority of our customers reside outside of the state. We do make an effort to “keep it local” in other areas, but when it comes to our customers, there are no boundaries. We even work with customers on an international level.

—Do you have a design/creative team?

Yes. And to take it one step further, we’ve developed our own creative agency comprised of some of the best creative minds, AND that come with years of experience in American manufacturing. Why? So we can help our customers promote their own American Made story/journey. From logos to ads to social media, including photos and videos of your product being made.

We are also experienced in product design. So, whether your idea is still stuck in your head, or simply a sketch on a cocktail napkin, we’re here to help bring it to life.

—Are you willing to sign an NDA?

Due to the number of requests we receive, we ask that customers requiring an NDA sign our standard agreement.

—What other capabilities do you have?

HBI has capabilities that extend beyond manufacturing. Some of these capabilities include, product design and development, purchasing, marketing/advertising, logo development, 3PL, contract die cutting, kitting (think subscription boxes), etc.
